Just would like to hear from anyone that has a 600E. If you like it and what's your opinion of this bike. I bought one for cheap wrecked. Wasn't a lot wrong with it from the accident. But it also wasn't driven for about 6 years. I've been through everything and I'm about to get it running. I might turbo it. Just curious of what you think of this bike. I'm sure as cheap as you can get a bigger bikefor. It would probably make more sense just to get a bigger bike. But I've done a lot to make it really light and I just love turbo power. So what do you think. I have done some mods to get it ready. Like good brakes, water cooled oiling, larger rear tire and wheel, increased cooling system. New carbs, also it's a very low mileage engine and I added a MLS head gasket and head studs. I'm thinking a blow through system. Main reason I bought carbs and I believe they will be more turbo friendly. Also higher gear ratio. So good or bad. I'd like to hear it and I really appreciate comments. I have total rebuilt this bike. It's like new and has nothing but the best parts I could find. So it's like new and almost done.

Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking I'll leave compression high. Only drop it a little like 10.5 to 11.1 and use a small turbo. I have a Garrett gt12 new or I might get a Gt15. Make it spool fast and keep the boost down. I've been looking in to meth injection. I used meth on another project and it worked out great. Probably need a ignition system so I retard it a few degrees. It'll be trial and error because I've never done motorcycle before. But I'm thinking it'll be no different from turbocharging anything else. Tuning will be critical on high compression engine.

I install a EBC clutch and noticed that the fiber disc furthest one in was cracked into a bunch of pieces. Do you think this could of happen in the accident or do you think the clutch was installed wrong. It was strange. Never seen anything like it before.

So you're talking about the center hole on the rotor. It has a small slot so it can only bolt on one way. Just in large it so I'm pulling timing out. I do have a small engine degree wheel. I think I've got it. So are you pulling 2 to 4 degrees out with about 10 pounds of boost. I'm thinking with high compression I'll go 4 and see if it has any knock.

I did the math. The GT15 compressor map couldn't be any better for this bike. So I ordered a China knock off. I wasn't going to spend 700 on a turbo. I've had good luck with the knock off turbos. So it'll be here in a few days. Im surprised how good the gt15 turbo map fits. It's dead on. Should work killer.

Well I bought a set of mikuni RS carbs. Looks like they will be easy to tune and get ready for boost. I'm going to make the intake and exhaust after the holidays. I have it all mocked up. Going to get a old friend to Tig weld everything for me. He's one of the best I've ever seen. Bike is coming along nicely. I'm installing the plate type oil cooler. It's considerly bigger than the stock one. I'll see where the temp runs after a ride before I think about a fan on it. I'll post up some pics of the welding on the turbo stuff. It's looking really nice. I've done a lot of polishing and painting. Not a show bike. Just a nice clean ride turbocharged. Everything on it is rebuilt or new and I've done everything I can to lighten it up. Some parts from the R model. Rear swingarm has to be extended. No one makes extension for it. Especially using a rear wheel and shock from a 08 R model. So a lot of Fab work being done to the swingarm. I'm going 4 inches longer and adjustable to 6. Pics soon. Happy holidays everyone. Later.

Some more pics. The wheels and some other pieces I painted with a paint I mixed up. Started up a very deep black and I added a preal gold. It looks black or a light bronze in the shade. In the sun it looks preal gold. Came out kind of cool.

I painted the frame, engine all black. A very shinny black. Has a lot of clear on it. Bolts are all polished stainless or titanium. Some of the aluminum I polished. All the plastic came from China painted. Gas tank was dented. I'm not a body man so I had a good friend that owns a body shop paint the tank.

What kind of fuel pump do y'all use. I was considering a external Denso pump. With only say 185 HP no need for a big pump. Denso will support the HP level and it's dependable and quiet. I looked at the tank. The hole for sending unit isn't big enough for a in tank pump. So I ordered 10mm x 1.25 6an fitting for the tank. It's going where the reserve line goes Won't have a reserve anymore. I'm going to weld in a bung on the back of the tank for a return line. Gotta figure out how to make it so I don't hear the return fuel going back in the tank. At least I hope I can.

The engine has two oil pumps. One for the oil cooler and one for the engine. That part I love. A little bit bigger oil cooler and run the line to the turbo. The drain I'm going to use the oil fill plug. I bought a billet fill plug. So I'm going to drill and tap if for oil return line from the turbo.

I found a plug on the right side of the engine below the ignition cover. It's a oil system test plug. So a gauge can be connected to test oil pressure. Perfect tap for oil supply for the turbo. The return oil I'm going to drill and tap a billet filler plug. Makes getting oil to and from the turbo easy. It's a water cooled turbo. So I found where the factory used the cooling system to heat up the carbs in cold climates. So I'm going to use that info to run water lines to the turbo. It does show they used a check valve in that system to keep the water from draining back. So im going to install a check valve also. This is easier than I thought it was going to be. Exhaust system I'm making. It's going to run under the seat and centered straight out the back. I'm using 2 1/2 inch stainless. Plus I'm going to polish it.

Guess I'm going to use the stock CV carbs. Because it's easier and will keep cost down. The stock air box looks like it'll handle some boost. So I'm going to reinforce the inside with carbon fiber. Seal it up real good and see what happens. I was surprised at how well this stock air box is made. I found a 30mm intank pump I'm going to install in the tank so I don't have to put up with fuel pump noise. I have to modify the stock fuel level sender a little. I had to build a box at the back of the bike to hold all the electrical. Battery, fuse box, relays. Made it out of aluminum plate. Looks really good imho.

A 2000/2005 ZX6R swingarm bolts right on. That'll save some money and time. I can but extension for it. The stock swingarm I couldn't find extension for. Plus I can run the bigger rear wheel, caliper bracket, and good rear shock. So the swingarm and everything that bolts to it is off of a ZX6R.
