My fuel tank is sad ! (Weird noise?)

Hello good folks!

I just got a 2010 ninja 250r fi with about 7000miles (12000km) on it, it really looks like its been stowed away in a shed for the last 5 years, its suuper dusty, but under all the dust and sand its in mint condition.
I could literally clean the whole bike using nothing but a duster/papertowels!

On to the problem, 10 mins after i got it i took it for a quick ride around the neighborhood, and it felt great, parked it, and started to hose it down, and suddenly this weird noise beeped at me, sounded like a really weak horn kinda, i thought i had gotten water into something bad.. So i called it on the cleaning and decided to start stripping off the fairings.

Rolled it into the shed and removed the fairings to see if i could see any exposed wires, everything looked mint, so then i removed the gas tank to have a look under there and again everything was mint, suddenly the sound came from behind me and i was kinda spooked to be honest..

So then i realized it was the gas tank, happy its not electrical.. im guessing its some kind of breather on the tank, and with the amount of dust on the bike i wouldnt be suprised if its somewhat clogged. when i open the filler lid, and leave it open, the sound doesnt come, with it closed it beeps randomly.

Any ideas where to start looking/cleaning? I hope its not supposed to be like that, it really sounds like the bike is crying/sobbing - J

might just be the normal sound of the tank vent. My 6r sounds a bit like a tea kettle going off.

the tank vent on my bike is next to the fuel filler hole. Might try blowing some compressed air through it or maybe some line from a weed eater.

Thanks, it does kinda sound like a tea kettle never owned a bike like this before, (had a few supermotos) so might just be me..

Ill see what i can figure out today.. Maybe ill try to get the sound on video to confirm if its normal or not.
