When you say engine mount gasket, I'm not sure what you're talking about?
Could you please point it out for me?

I'm sure if service to it was needed it'd be covered under warranty, but I'm definitely gonna check out that engine mount before/if I purchase.
It's on the front, bottom left (the right side never seems to have a problem). This gasket-like part is called engine damper, but I can't find it in any of the parts charts right now. But I see if I can take a quick pic of my bike..
The reason we ever found it, was that I had bought a pre-payed service plan (bought the bike new at the time), and they had taken off the bottom fairings for one of the larger inspections..
The problem is that this thick gasket will fringe and flatten out over time and with a lot of riding. If it breaks out, the engine will just bounce off the frame...which will lead to more damage.
Anyway, if it has to be replaced, the work load is heavy for non-mechanics, like myself... In order to get to it, the fairings have to come off, the engine has to be 'moved' several inches to make room to work, which means, the exhaust needs to come off, and so do the carbs...and the radiator, and, and... It's a bitch..and my mechanic cursed a lot.... I had 4 years extended warranty, which was pretty much payed for by just this bill..
Best thing to do, ride it to a dealership and let them evaluate the condition, if it's questionable.
So, here is the pic. Look at the green 'X'. The stupid cheap piece of crap is right below, separating the engine from the frame along the mounting bolt. You can see by all that's mounted around it, it's a real bitch to work on...
