Ninja Wiring Problem

Someone broke into my house and tried to hot wire my 2006 Ninja 500. They didn't get far but did cut a cable in the left side of steering. I am attaching two photos of this.

The cable has 7 wires in it Does anyone know if this cable is just the ignition switch cable, or if it has other wires? The Kawa dealer told me that if it's just the ignition harness they'd replace the ignition switch and that would take care of it, but it seems to be like it has too many wires for just the ignition switch. TIA.

It's hard to see where that is on the bike. If it was mine, I would solder the wires back together.
