Bike Dies when first starting in the morning
I have a 2015 650R and ever since it was new, (I bought it out of the crate from the dealer) it will drop RPM when idling first thing in the morning. This usually happens when it is colder out below 45F. It will start fine and idle at 2000-2500 rpm and as I'm putting my gloves and helmet on 1-2 mins it will lose RPM to 1000 rpm or below and will die. If I grab the throttle and take it back up to 2500 rpm and hold it for a few seconds it will stay there most of the time. Once in a while I have to help it out twice. This just seems weird to me for a fuel injected bike.
It is still under warranty (I bought an extended warranty).
Sometimes (again mostly when its a bit colder out) after I get off work it will do a similar thing with the idle dropping after I start it.
It runs great after I take off and I can turn it off and turn it back on and no problems will idle at ~1300 RPM.
I had a 2007 650R that didn't have this issue.
Again.. this has done it since 0 miles and now it has almost 10,000 miles and it still does it. I just did all the 10K maint. myself with no improvements to beginning morning start Idle.
Any Ideas? I'll try to get a sound bite when it does it next time.
Thanks in advance,
I like computers and Motorcycles.. how these two things go together I will never know
