i need to know this asap, two things. and by replying make sure your 100% sure
i have a 01 zx6r yellow and deep purple.

first question,right now my front fairring is yellow and deep purple and the 02 front fairing was all yellow fron my understanding. is this the same paint code as the 01. i would like my front fairing completly yellow instead of 2 tone yellow and purple.

second question one im preaty sure of the answer already ,the fitting its exacly the same right?

Yes the fitting would be the same. I'm not sure about the paint code though.

Fitting for the side fairings are the same from 1998-2002 6R, and 2005-2007 ZZR600. Paint I doubt will match unless it's Kawi green.

The 2002 yellow was a pearl yellow, so it's got a shimmer to it. I think the 2001 yellow was a normal yellow paint.

The 2002 yellow was all yellow except the bottom bit, which was black.

sorry to jack the thread but i have a 1998 your telling me that the 2001 fairing should fit 100%?

From 1998-2002, the side plastics and tail plastics were the same except for paint colour.
The upper (nose) fairing changed in 2000 to the dual headlight style.

The 2005-2007 ZZR600 also shares the sames plastics as the 00-02 6R, so the side and tail plastics from it would fit your 98 as well.

cool thanks man bike is going into paint in a few weeks any way i might have to go find a 2000 and up front fairing with the dual headlights

the only problem is color cant decide between three but ill see thanks man

if you go with the 2000+ style with the dual headlight, there are a couple other small pieces to change to, nothing major, but you do need them. Do a search for 99 to 00 conversion
