I have these leathers now. The Blue/black/chrome ones. I wanted full perferation and hard armor and a good price. I have one track day on them now and am really happy with them. Now I have a green zx-6rr so they don't match but they would look good on yours. The only thing I don't like is they only come in one piece. I got them a little cheaper somewhere else than here.
Anyone out there with a blue 03 6R find any riding gear that matches the color of the bike?
I haven't really looked too hard, and was leaning toward Joe Rocket, if I found anything that matched good.
Any riding gear: Jackets, Pants, Full suits, boots...
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as most of the shops around here don't carry much, and just looking at a catalog or online doesn't guarantee a decent match, as I found out with my 1st helmet, which looked blue in the catalog, but ended up being purple.
Thanks Arturo, but I already have both of these.
What I'm looking for is if anyone has ordered anything, and how well does it match. Some stuff looks close, but I'm trying to take some of the guesswork out of the project.
Thanks Bhess, that's a sweet looking suit. I'll make sure I save that.
you're never going to find colours that match exactly, the bike uses paint, leathers use a dye.
Generally a blue suit looks fine on a blue bike, etc..
Even my green leathers are a different green then the bike, but they look good together.
I've seen several guys with the joe rocket suits in blue on Yamaha's, they look good.
The 03 6R is a dark blue as well, so it should look good too.
We dont have blue 03 6R's here in Canada (we got green) so I have not seen one up close.
You're right CDN, I never looked at it that way.
I figured a nice black mesh for the summer, and a full suit for any other serious rides, as I don't know of any places close to here that do Track Days.
It's a shame, as Watkins Glen International is only 15 minutes away, and as far as I know, they offer nothing for bikes.
There is a ride here in the area every 4th of July called the Pride Ride, where the entry fee is a toy or stuffed animal or anything of that sort that is given to local childrens shelters and Arctic Leagues for kids. After a few stops, the ride ends up at WGI, and everyone gets one lap around the track, but there are Police escorts n the front and rear of every group (about 2500-3000 bikes total), and they keep the speed under 50.
Anyways, thanks again.
Who cares what matches? JK. I didn't care. I bought a Spidi Hook Blue/Wht/Blk when I had my RC51. Paid just under $500 on Ebay brand new. Then I bought my Blue ZX6R. It matches perfect. Now I'm a dork.
