I just changed oil on my 03 and the oil filter was very tight. I had a filter socket that fit snug but everytime tried turing it, the filter socket would just slip and turn. I wanted to ask what the correct size is for the stock filter?

I went to autozone and got the smallest adjustable filter wrench, which attaches to your socket wrench, and it worked perfectly. I am sure they will have one at any autozone.

cyclops24, I had the same problem, and I did 2 things: 1: I folded up a small piece of newspaper and jammed it in the socket to make it even tighter. 2. I really pounded the socket over the filter to make it more secure. Got the filter off easily. (caution - the socket will be hard to remove from the filter - I tapped on the edge of the socket til it came off)
