its a bug Kawi is aware of, they are working on a fix so I'd expect a recall before too long.
The design actually is not back, its designed so you can take that pipe off without doing any welding, but from what I've heard, the issue is the foam-like pad they used, it changes size under heat and then the can gets loose.
