I’ve got an 03 Zx6r, recently when riding home the main fuse blew. I check all the other fuses everything was fine, replaced the blown main and ran some wiring I couldn’t find any bare wire that would cause it to ground. It started then blew the main again after giving it half throttle, now every time the key turn to the on position it blows the fuse. I’ll rerun the wiring to make sure I didn’t miss anything but any suggestions would be great.

Check the stater and regulator/rectifier to make sure they arent outputting way more than they should be. If they're both fine, chances are its a bad ground somewhere.

New rectifier is in place, the new stator is on the way, if these don’t work I’m dreading running the wiring again.

Sometimes stators can output super high on one lead and ruin the regulators, happened with mine and kept blowing my main fuse, so that could be a problem.

update, the stator fixed the problem for about 3 days. Then started blowing the fuse again. Luckily I was able to get off the interstate, the fuse is blowing as soon as the key turns.

Are you buying the stator off of ebay? May be your reason. Check voltages for both stator and regulator.

The inlet air temperature sensor was unplugged, must’ve missed it when putting everything back. But now with it plugged back in it appears everything is back to normal still need to take it for a ride to 100% determine if it’s fixed. But my guess is that had a part in it blowing the other day.
