I took my 01 zx6r out to the drags on the weekend and ran 13 passes. The best of which was 11.7 @ 121.5 mph. On another run I ran a flat 12 @ 126MPH!! I am totaly hopeless at launching the bike and averaged about 2.1 seconds for my 60 footers. All I have done to the bike is fit a slip on micron. I was wearing a big fabric type jacket which wouldnt have helped the air drag. I was wondering what times others have achieved??

I took my 02 out once, but take into account Ive only had it barely 2 months. Our track requires leather over 120mph, and I dont have it, so I cant go back to practice launching until I have some. Only got 2 runs in cause it was so crowded. The bike is totally stock. But anyway, my times were as follows

First run:
E/T: 12.2
MPH: 116 mph
60': 2.2 seconds

Second run:
E/T : 11.88
MPH: 118.5mph
60': 2 seconds

I figure with a better launch (which will just take a bit of practice) and some quicker shifting and I'll get like ll.3. That would make me happy with a stock bike [^]

I got my friends 636 to run a 10.20 after 10 passes, this was my first time racing this bike, it is lowered, piped (muzzy), power commander, geared, and still foot shifting no air shifter, so i no this bike will run in the high 9s one more time at the track. Its all in the rider.

I also know a guy who has hit low 10s too with a lowered -03 636. Other mods include end can and techlusion FI box...

11.553 with a bone stock -00 ZX-6R. 60 feet time was about 1.85. Not a holeshot but I weighed about 90kg back then and it was my first bike (I got my driving lisence about 3 months before that), so I'm kinda pleased with the time =)

I took my '03 to the strip the other night just to see what it would do. Made about 6 passes total.

100% stock, not lowered. 1500ft track, ~85 deg., traction sucked, spinning on 1-2 and 2-3 shift. I weigh ~215 in gear.

Average of all passes was 11.55 @ 122

Best pass: 11.49 @ 122, 1.92 60ft.

Pulls good for a 600... Not like my old '12 though...

Just went to the track yesterday. Although the weather sucked I was still happy to pull off a 10.75 @126mph. That was the fastest pass of the day for me but i was going consistent 10.80's.

02' ZX6R
bolt-on muzzy
-1 +2
jet kit & k&n
timing +4
not lowered(this would help severely)

r/t: .529
60ft: 1.68
330ft: 4.44
1/8: 6.69 @108.7
1000ft: 8.66
1/4: 10.36 @132.08

I know it will go faster than that because I ran the 1/8th mile a couple of weeks ago and had 4.31s at the 330ft mark.

thanks silver i was hoping to get some responses on this. ASSHOLES! jk ya i look forward to getting a real good run in with my gear this time so i dont get kicked out. i figure if i can cut even a low 1.7 60 ft and not fumble a shift this time i can run a 10.4, and even lower with a 1.6 60 ft or so but i dont know if i can cut that but it would sure be nice

It was a 1.63. The best i've gotten has been a 1.60, but I rolled out of it because I had the guy covered (damn bracket racing!) The bike is lowered, one tooth down on front, 2 up in back, yosh pipe, power commander, kaw acc. velocity stacks.

A little hint to get them 60ft's down lower tire pressure to 25lb and leave 200rpms hard every pound you drop on tire pressure and don't deep stage on the lights give a little room to feather the clutch out to be right on the light when it goes green.[:p]

Dropping the tire pressure will cost mph on top, so it's better to keep it up if you aren't spinning the tire off the line.

My best is down to 10.93 @ 127. Bike still stock ('03 636), rider 220 in gear, 1000ft altitude, temps in the high 70s.

Best part is I won my bracket class (NMRA Street/ET) w/ a 10.95 on a 10.93 dial w/ a .510 light. :D
