so i was riding home last night from work. while on a red light, a lady pulls up next to me and says my tail light isn't working. i had my high beams on. i got home and checked and the tail lights wont go on whether im on low beam or high beam.
but the light does work when i hit the brakes.

had the bike for 3 years but never noticed it. is it just my bike or are all the 250s like that?

Does it have a bulb or is it LED? If its a bulb did you check the bulb? Check for any loose connections?

If its a bulb then its a double fillament and one of the fillaments burnt out.

Yup, it's most likely one of the filaments in the bulb is burnt out. High vs low beams doesn't matter for anything on the tail light.
