2009 kawasaki z750 OBD2

Hi everyone!

I'm new here and came looking for an answer to my doubt.

I have a 2009 kawasaki z750 and recently lost my speedometer on a crash.

I know that the bike has a diagnostic plug right down the rear seat.

Have anyone tried to use an OBD2 scanner on it?

I'm asking because i'm trying to find a adapter cable that connects on that diagnostic plug
and than on the OBD2 scanner so i can read realtime data from the sensors on the cellphone
and than use the cellphone as the speedometer until a buy a new one.

Any help worth it.
