Last night 3 of my buddies decided to go for a ride around the airport and on I 95. One of my buddy called his friend up to ride with us. this dude rides a green kawi 250cc. My friends all ride 600cc bikes(suzuki, honda, zx6r) and this guy rides a 250cc so the whole time, we weren't going fast at all and plus he's new to riding as well. And I was behind him most of the time since hes a newbie and I felt I should be on the look out for him. It looked like a father and son moment cause we both ride green kawi. All i have to say it was a disappointing night and I will never ride with anyone who rides a 250cc. Those things are slow!! I'm not a squid at all, i had my riding gears on and whatnot but yeah I just wanted to point this out cause i have nothing better to do other than watch porn at this moment =)

Because he's a new rider. Fuck, I've met people who could whip your ass riding a 125 through the twisties. It is NOT the bike, it is the RIDER.

Besides that, going fast in a straight line takes no skill and (in my opinion) isn't particularly fun.

come on, unless u are going like 110+ mph everywhere you go..the 250 will have no problem hanging with you just riding...just because you wear your gear, it doesn't mean your not a squid. I use to ride a 250 with 600cc + bikes and the only time i had a problem keepin up was when they decided to do 110+ mph but even then, they didn't mind, in the end we all end up at the same place and they are smart enough to stop going 100+ and wait. It's the ride that counts not the rider and what he rides when it comes down to enjoying the ride

They are not made for triple digits but around town and on roads that are not a straight line for miles they are a blast. Get him off the highway and follow him so he can set the pace or set a meet point if he is good at not trying to keep pace with everyone. Every bike has its place to be enjoyed and the highway isn't that place for a 250.

first, i think it depends on the rider NOT the bike. i personally think all kawasaki bikes are good even the 250r. i think if u cant appreciate the 250 kawi bike then u dont deserve to be a kawi bike rider.

I own a green 08 Ninja 250R and I am the only 250 rider in my group of like 26 riders ranging fron 600's to Busas and when we hit the twisites I will have you know that I am way out in front with some the the faster guys. I have people in CBR 600's, Kawi Zx6r's, gxsr's and then some trailing way back. You don't see too many busa's scraping the pegs like we do on the 250's!!

but we had 2 crusers in the group. i don't think i'll ride with them no more either. for no reason.

My buddy and I ride every other weekend. SOmetimes I roll my 250 and he rolls his Vulcan 750, or I'll roll my 650 and he rolls my 250. Neither of us ever has to wait on the other once we hit the twisties. I think the OP was looking for some agreement. Happy to disappoint.
