I own a 2000 model and I've only had it for about 3 months. The ass end lately has started to feel very loose and it is becoming somewhat discouraging and scary especially during left turns for some reason. I've checked the wheel, swingarm bolt, suspension, tire, etc....can't seem to fix the problem. But this has all led me to thinking that maybe I should just go ahead and take her in to have a tune-up and service. I don't have any manuals to reference so I'm wondering what would be good to include in the service. She's 3 years old and I've got between 8500-9000 miles on the odo. Please bear in mind that my cylinder heads have been ported and polished, I have a full system Muzzy and an ignition advancer. Not that those mods will make much difference but I've heard that cylinder head work can shorten the life of an engine. Thanks for any help!
