How clean is the inside of the tank? Are there any fuel lines kinked? Is the petcock screen clogged? Is the fuel filter clean? Has the bike been sitting with fuel in the carbs? Try running some SeaFoam though you might have varnish in the carbs which might cause the bike to cut off when you open the throttle. Also check the stator rectifier. Is the battery good or is it an old battery make sure it is fully charge,
So I’ve just got a 2000 ZX-R got it back home yesterday front right indicator is flashing to Quick and the back right has stopped working completely the left side is fine what could be the problem and how could I fix it?
so here is the deal.
I got this bike after a wreck and i have rebuilt it.
so now i am having a heck of a time getting it to start.
It only starts when it feels like it and that is not to often
Its an 02 zx9.
It turns over nice and strong and there is gas getting to the plugs but for some...
so i installed the factory pro jet kit on my 99 zx9r...but i cant seem to get it to run right at off idle (from dead stop to 1/8 throttle) with either bogging hardcore, or serious "jerking"..
is the jerking a rich condition? or lean?
i currently have it set at factory pro's...
Does or has anyone fitted to 200/01 E model. I am aware one needs longer brake lines but will stock throttle and clutch work for a portion of the rise say 1.5" rise?
I am also considering Convertibars but damn costly in comparison to the adjustable Apex units but you can never it seems find...
