What is the likely cause of this and how much $$$ to fix or how hard is it to repair?

Bike runs and sounds GREAT, no noise at all from tranny, just jumps out of 2nd when you give it gas. All other gears work great.

Likely cause is bent shift fork, costs a lot to fix because they have to take the whole engine apart. I have the same problem with my ZX6.
