i was thinking about doing this to make an ultimate sleeper. does anyone have any experience with slapping a 9r motor in a 6r? i dont know if it could work but they are virtually the same bikes.

I think the 9R motor is too wide. I understand that early 9R motors will almost fit in 7R frames (one motormount bolts doesn't line up). But anything is possible. I went cruising last night with a guy who has a 350 Chevy V8 in his motorcycle.

I was looking into the same swap last summer when a 99 ZX9 came in for some major work....measured it up and found that the 9 head was 4 inches wider at the top.....hmmm....little too big me thinks....the bottoms might line up but I stopped there.....probably wouldn't.

That and the massive extra weight....turbo would be the trick!
