Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish works really well for me. You can pick it up at any auto parts store or even walmart. Personally I think its about the best stuff there is. About your suspension question, The two blue "things" on the top of your forks are PRELOAD ADJUSTERS. When you adjust them, they are measured in "clicks" they will click when you turn them. Be sure to turn both of them the exact same amount when you do this. They will put more/less tension on the springs in your forks, thus either firming up your suspension or making it softer. I'm pretty sure they even have a H and S for hard and soft with arrows pointing the direction you need to turn them for each of these settings. Hope this helps.

Uhhh, spddmn? Just to clarify, aren't the preload adjusters measured in number of lines showing, and the rebound damping adjusters (the flatblade slots in the middle of the preload adjusters) the ones measured in clicks?

My understanding is:

-- for the preload adjusters, the more lines showing, the softer / lesser the preload;

-- for the rebound and compression damping adjusters, screwing them all the way in clockwise gets you the maximum damping, and all the way out counterclockwise gets you the least damping. The number of clicks is determined by counting from maximum damping (all the way in clockwise)

JDNewman,

YOu might want to look at the Sport Rider website for some basic info.

One: My bike has chrome wheels, and a polished frame, swingarm, forks and hardware. The guy who sold it to me said USE NOTHING BUT WENOL ALUMINUM POLISH!!!!!! He was prett adamant about it. But I can't find the stuff anywhere! Anyone else have good luck with any other polishes or know where I can find Wenol?
Two: I'm confused about my suspension. It seems to be pretty stiff and the feedback is decent but not great at high speeds. I see two blue nuts on the triple clamp above the forks, and then a little screw on top of each of the nuts. And also I think an adjustment at the bottom of the forks by the brake rotor. I dunno what nut/screw/etc adjusts which suspension component! Can someone give me a hint here! Thanks!
