Hello, All.
I'm checking in from Minneapolis. I just picked up a used '05 Candy Plasma Blue ZX-6R and so far am having a great time with the bike. I'm not a new rider, having been on bikes, scooters, dirt bikes, mopeds and anything with two wheels and a motor that I could lay my hands on since the early '70's. The list of bikes I've ridden/owned are:
'74 Yamaha Chappy (two-stroke scooter)
'74 Honda CB360
'71 Honda CB750
'81 Kawasaki 440 Ltd
(then I had a bit of a lay-off to get my career started)
'98 Suzuki Intruder VS800
'98 Kawasaki Concours
'02 Kawasaki ZX-6E (owned currently)
'00 BMW R1100RT (owned currently)
'05 Kawasaki ZX-6R (owned currently)
The Beemer's primary duty is spring/fall riding and wife hauling. The ZX-6E's my everyday commuter, and the ZX-6R will be tasked for weekends and track day riding, something I dabbled in a couple of years ago and found was really, really fun.
I'm a fairly mellow street rider, and probably one of the slower riders on the track, but I'm still having fun[8D]
