I have a 99zx6r with a hindle bolt on and it backfires every once in a while upon deccelaration. It runs a little "off". Any tips on shimming/adjusting the carbs to richen it up a tiny bit to get rid of the slight leanness???
Its normal to do this, Get it on a Dyno and see whats realy going on before you start to tinker, If you do need to richen it up, raise the needles a notch, Slip on cans make little difference, but a K&N filter will and thats the primary reason for a rejet.
so it should be ok as it is? I will be looking into shimming the needles a bit. Its bone stock besides the slip on si it seems like it may only be a tiny bit off. I'm not really worried about gaining/losing power but more worried about the popping on decel. Its more annoying than anything
