I have a 2001 ZX6R, and my clutch plates are pretty shot. Just wondering if anyone could recommend a good clutch kit, and possibly an online source for a good deal?
Thanks, Alan
If everything is under control, you're going to slow.
Me and evryone I know that I ride with when we changed our clutches we just bought stock plates and then bought heavier springs and that seems to work well and it cheap.
Thanks for all the info. Here's what I came up with: Although the set on Ebay is a pretty good deal, it was friction plates only. My Kawi dealer said I would have to buy each OEM plate individually, which would come to $117 for friction plates only. The dealer offered a set from Vesra which included friction & steel plates plus springs for $160, so that's what I went with. Hope I made the best choice? Thanks again for the help.
Cheers, Alan

Guess what? When I went to pick up the clutch kit, it was only friction plates for $160!!! Then the parts guy explained that Versa has their part #'s screwed up. And although I paid for what was supposed to be the entire kit, it would cost me an additional $90 for the steel plates & springs. I said no way, and they gave me a refund. You were most likely right about the OEM, but I'm gonna check Ebay for right now.
