has anyone tried airtech body kits for a 6r. im looking to buy the side fairings and i want to see if someone has a pic with them already painted.

I would think twice about buying those. A friend of mine bought some. He said that they don't come predrilled and when you do drill the holes, the fiberglass chips away. Just a thought. I know they will save you some money but how much. Figure that you have to buy the fairings, get them painted, and buy the decal kits. That starts to cost a bit too. Factory; I think the side fairings are like $300 and some odd dollars. And those are exactly like what is on your bike now. Sorry I guess this sort of turned into a lecture. Just trying to look out for my fellow 6R riders. Either way, good luck.

Loose is fast and on the edge you're out of control.

Just a rule I use when drilling any type
of plastic etc If you take the edge off the drill bit
it shouldn't crack or chip when it comes through
the other side.

I also heard that if you put masking tape where you want to drill it is supposed to help too. Doesn't work all the time though.

Loose is fast and on the edge you're out of control.

Sharkskins makes a higher quality product. If you're planning on street use, you may want to look there.
In reality, you're probably better off going OEM. Check eBay.
