Just wondering, how does the remote engine start work with the carb needing to be choked?

um, my guess would be that it doesn't[)] I can only imagine the bike sputtering and then dying unless it was already completely warmed up. I've heard rumors that you can do damage to some motorcycle engines by letting them idle on their sidestands for any length of time.
Im not for sure on bikes but on cars, if its carb and you remote start it and the car is cold it will just die out. I use Viper alarms and on them it will try to start 3 times before shutting off.

In the summer you should be fine. I never use the choke when I start my bike. Only when it is below like 75 degrees.

I think I am going to get an alarm with a bud of mine (he has a 97' yzf600r). I just leave the choke on when i get off and plan to use it, I think it would be bad as hell and since i have to get an alarm anyways why not go the extra mile. I'll post pics and tell how it goes when we get em[8D]
when do you plan of having it installed?

I think you are right in that aspect, that running a bike on its sidestand might hurt it. The oil isn't level, so I don't think it would oil evenly over the motor, you could wear out the high side[?]

i use the warm up time to make sure everything is ok with my bike. Give it a minute a to warm up, look for fluid leaks, check chain tension, ect.. Wont you have to leave your bike in neutral as well?
I always leave my bike in neutral unless I am on a hill. I tried the alarm/starter install today and could not get the starter to work properly. The alarm works great but the alarm starts to crank but never turns over. The way I see it, i bought it for the alarm and if I can get the starter to work it a bonus.
