yeah the a-stars GP's rock. not that comfortable for longer rides, but really really good for short, fast rides.[8D]

Guys, I'm thinking about getting a pair of GP Plus gloves or GP Pro. One of my riding friends told me that it's a piece of crap. He said I'd better get a pair of Held gloves. But I personally don't believe him coz I've heard a lot of good things about the GP Plus. And I also wanna match my jacket and boots since I have them all Alpinestars.
So what do you guys think?
I have the GP Plus and like them...Would recommend them to anyone. They are a little pricie but good glove and worth it.

Alpinestars are good gloves, but Teknic premium gloves are just as nice. Check out http://www.newenough.com/closeouts/gloves.htm they have last years Teknic's most expensive race gloves for only $69 bucks (violator pro). Whoa! :D
Check out their clearance section, just picked up a pair myself. Normally $149 and just as nice of features as the Alpinestars.

the S-MX ones are good too. Nowheres near the GPs potection wise, but they're comfortable and great on a hot day.

I'll just say I love my A* GP+ :)
They feel good and don't get caught anywhere they shouldn't :D
But still if you think some other glove would fit you better then you have to choose for yourself :)
Atleast I don't have a bad word to say about the GP+.

I low sided at 70+mph and slid for around 30ft on my palms on rough asphalt (before sliding under the guard rail and off the side of the mountian). I was wearing my Alpinestars GP Plus gloves. They're scuffed up but no holes and they saved my hands. They're still in good enough shape that I still use them everyday.

They may not make the absolute best gloves but I know first hand (no pun intended) that they work.

I think Alpinstars makes quality products as I was wearing their S-MX 1pc suit and Supertech boots in the accident above. I walked with a pulled muscle in my neck as my only injury from tumbling down the side of the mountain for a few feet.

The Alpinestars GP gloves are good quality, I use them on the track and see many other riders wearing them. Your friends statment about them being "crap" is perhaps a little harsh, he is correct that HELD makes some damn good gloves and if you want to spend well over $200 then by any means grab a pair. Performance Bikes (UK) did a big glove shootout last year and HELD did come out on top for quality and durability in crash tests, many racers swear by them.

Its your call but for the money the Alpinestars are a great buy.
