I was searching on the forum and remember someone stating that after their Akra slip-on install they continuely noticed that the tip of the exhaust kept turned black after rides. They noted that they might be running rich and that was the reason for it. Is this true?
I have noticed the black residue on the tip of my Akra slip-on so I've been wondering.
If this is true, does running rich have anything to do with why my oil was low after a 400+ mile ride the other day?

No. The black residue may be seen on many bikes in stock form. You find out if you are running rich with a test, not by looking at your tailpipe. The FI changes a lot over the rpm range, and the slipons lean out.

My race bike always has a black tip. The pipes, headers and muffler interior are grey and have no residue.
