My '05 has approximately 20K miles and still on the original battery. I've had to bump start it once or twice due to the bike sitting but other than that, she's still going strong (knock on wood). Anybody else still using their original battery? I thought 3 seasons was about the max for M/C batteries.

Actually they can last the life of the bike if you take care of it. Keep it clean, a dirty bat conducts small amounts of electricity to it's poles self-degrading it. Also never let the charge get very low. If you winterize your bike, remove battery and store at ambient temperature, charging once a month @ 1 amp for a few hours. You should never have a problem unless there is a defect.
