well since there is cold weather in chicago
my bike is sitting in my garage like a baby
and waiting for spring-summer:::

i start the bike every few weeks, but ive noticed
when it worms up, before i turn ignition off i decide
to rev a little i hit the gas and go over 4000,5000rpms
sounds like it wants to die, rpms go higher and its fine.
and again if i rev it same thing, iam thinking i need
to clean the carburator - its a 2001 ZX6R with 6,000 miles.
how often we need to clean carb? any ideas whats wrong with the bike?
also i got warranty on the bike but thats for heavy stuff like trans
or motor.......

your warming it up wrong(well not the way i do it). open the choke a little, not fully open, the gradually close it and give it a LITTLE gas. do this until the choke is closed or its "sounding" right.

you might be flooding the carbs with your method[:p]

If you only start the engine and rev it, condensation in the oil will not burn off and the battery charge will not refresh. Start the bike only to ride it.
