i have two questions

1. i went to my dealer and wanted a 03 6r but he said he will give me a 02 6r out the door for 6900. SO i said fine as this will be my first bike lets save some money as well. Now do you guys think 6900 i good or is there any way i can get a lower price. I live in centreville,virginia .
2. He had three color choices bluw,red and yellow. Me and My bro decided on yellow bec it is a diffrent color. But i cant seem to find any pics of 02 with yellow color. The pics i see are 01s and also do all of the yellow 6rs have yellow wheels too?

yeah they all came with yellow wheels.
6900 sounds pretty good if the bike is new... i think i paid 7500 for a new '01 just before the 02's came out. Good idea going for the cheaper bike being that it's your first. You can go a lot cheaper though if you're willing to shop around for a used ride, which again, might be a good idea since it's your first and will hurt a lot less if you drop it. Around here used 6r's (01-02) are going anywhere from $4500 to about $6500.

The bottom of the fairings is normally black like in the picture vr6r posted, but on this one it was repainted to be all yellow, and frame is polished.

The only '02s I've seen with yellow wheels are in pics. Mine came with black wheels. I personally like the black wheels a bit better. I think it flows with the body colors better. Add a carbon pipe and you have a seriously sexy bike. I gotta get my camera working so I can get some pics of my mods up here. and update that one in my profile.

my mistake guys... you're right ken, i stand corrected. i always get mixed up thinking about the '01s and '02s, i agree though, i like black wheels more. That was the one thing that I really wanted to change when i had the yellow '01, but never got around to it.

It's cool. It really threw me for a loop when I saw the first pics of an 02 with yellow wheels. I was glad I got mine with the black. I remember seeing it and saying it just didn't look right.

For MrKool, I think you'll like the yellow. In pics you can't see it but it's actually a metallic flake yellow. It looks absolutely awesome in the sun. I never knew it until after I bought it and the dealer wheeled it outside for the check over. I couldn't be happier with my color choice. Although there are times I wonder if I should have gone with the Kawi green, I still get compliments and questions about the bike because people aren't used to Yellow Kawi's
