I finally picked up my new bike. Used actually, but I got a great
deal on a 2003 636 even though I had to drive to Va. from Buffalo to pick it up -- 16 hours round-trip – alone.
Took it to a trackday at Mosport on Monday 6/14 – completely stock
except for bodywork. Even had the stock tires on it.
THAT FRIGGIN" BIKE WAILS!! Granted, I had an RS 125 last year, but my
buddy who bought my 2000 R1 was there and he was
amazed that he could not pass me on the long back straight. i not
only stayed in his draft but was able to pass him on the back
straight. The bike is a rocket!! It also handled very nicely despite
having the stock tires and suspension settings. Modern technology is
truly amazing. I am awestruck.
By the end of the day I was starting to feel like my old self again.
Reminded me of 1987, but without the crashes. It is amazing what a
bike will do for your mental health.
