I recently bought a used 03' 636 w/ a scorpion slip-on. When you get on the throttle hard and let off it backfires alot. It does the same when you downshift hard. I was wondering what the problem could be and what i can do to fix it?
i got a scorpion on my 06 and it does that and everyone i know with aftermarket it does it theres nothin wrong.if u ask me i like when it does itbut u should be ight man if ur worried bout messin somethin up[}]
yea i heard mine back fire last night on a stock exhust I was kinda confused but all that is rapid down shift. that means the you got more air in the engine than it wants to have so all the airs gotta go some where out you bike will be fine.
all 03-04 models do this when you put a after market exhaust on, the real fix is to do a kleen air modification. do a search (kleen air mod) on this forum and you will find how to and where to buy or make yourself.
i did it and no backfiring, bought the mod from ivans performance. hope this helps
