I've been backfiring since i bought the bike and it hasnt been an issue yet but im sure it cant be healthy at all. The guy before me installed Yoshi

and from what i can see there is no cat(not sure is 250s have them anyways)
Friends who were riding behind me said they saw blue flames coming out of the pipe when i downshift or sometimes start the bike.
I am supposed to be taking bike for a much needed tune up where guy supposed to adjust my valves and do a proper carb tune which has not been done by previous owner. Engine sounds right now like valves are loose and hitting something best i can describe this sound is (diesel engine only with much higher pitch) does it sounds about right?
Anyways ive been seafoamed last 2 tanks and been filling up with 87 past 4 tanks so it cant be gas. What are my options? How can i stop backfiring or if its not hurting engine then i wont bother i guess.
