I know we are all looking to save weight and the battery is a great weight savings when compared to the couple ounces from brackets and such. I've talked with a couple other races about these Ballistic batteries and they were looking at them to. Well I have two batteries that are very weak which has left me having to push start them on the street and track. Well I put an order in for two eight cell batteries. I was told 8-9 business days So I was okay with that. Two weeks later My distributor that I was purchasing them thru called and was told it would be a couple more days. Now a lil over a week later me and my distributor called to check on the order, the guy put us on hold for two minutes to check the order then came back and said he would call back in ten minutes. about an hour and a half later we called them back and they said they were cancaling the order with out an explanation click, end conversation...:wtf:

I don't know what kind of business can get any respect when this is how customer service is handled. I would have loved to try out the batteries and let ya'll know how they performed but now I feel completely disrespeted.

Ughh. That sucks that you had to go through all that trouble just to get a battery. I don't know who you went through but, I ordered a ballistic 4 cell for my bike on May 15 and got it within 2 weeks without any issue.

Pm sent.
Complain directly to Ballistic. Light a fire under the distributor's ass.

I know that if Ballistic is any sort of respectable company, they'd want to know how one of their distributors was treating their customers.
The company I work for is always keeping their ears open for any word that a distributor is not being straight with the customer because it reflects back on us the manufacturer in a negative fashion.

They may even send you one for free or on the cheap to "apologize" for the distributor and thank you for bringing it to their attention.
I've said it once, and I'll say it again: Full Spectrum is the way to go. Great product, great customer service.

I didn't have any problem with the distributor. The distributor and I were on the phone with Ballistic and had horribal customer service directly with ballistic. With that kind of people working for them what good would it do for me to call them. I feel I'll just get the run around. I wish I could remember the name of the guy we talked to at ballistic.
Oh, I thought you were getting the runaround from the distributor.
I thought you meant the distributor was giving you the runaround.

Well in that case, go with what redsands said and go with fullspectrum.
Not sure who the dealer is...but we have had some issus with backorders. Demand is simply higher than supply at the moment, but we are working very hard to fix that.

This does you no good at the moment cuase you need a battery. I am at Road America working with some of our sponsored riders this weekend, but please PM me your number and I will call you Tuesday to work out how to get you a battery in a timely manner.

I am very sorry for any delay. Please give us a chance to fix this for you.

Thanks

^now that's what I call a customer service response.

Always nice to see a company that understands how much a single forum response can help or hurt a company's image.

Pm sent. I would definately prefer to make thinks right. Thank you
I did speak with Chip from Ballistic Batteries and he explained they have a back order right now and we spoke about the situation but he took my information and will get me two batteries as soon as they get some. As soon as they come in and I install and use them Chip also asked that I contact him. I really appriciate the help Chip and I can't wait to test it out.
Robert,

I finally had the opportunity to try out my 4 cell ballistic battery last night at the drag strip. Due to the weather there was a low turnout which meant lots of runs. The battery performed flawlessly throughout the evening. I must have started-ran for a short time then shut off the bike over 20 times last night between warm-ups and runs. Awesome so far! Hopefully the long term results are just a good.

I am thinking that the 4 cell should work just fine for you Robert if the 6 cell versions are still on backorder.
+1 on those batteries. even tho i dont have 1 and saving for 1, i think there a great battery saving that kinda weight is terrific

That's great Dean. Sounds like they perform great at the track if you get that many starts. I know how little they get a chance to charge when you're just racing and thats what I was hoping to hear. Chip from Ballistic got me a great Deal for two of the 8-cell batteries and true to his word the batteries came in the mail. I've had them for a few weeks but I haven't gotten a break from the weather to make a track day. I have taken the bikes out for bike night and both bikes started great every time and had no problem keeping up with the lights, fan, electronics, and pumps after all the stopping and going. I gotta say, the 8-cell's are way lighter than the stock batteries. The 4-cell has to be like nothing. I'm sure the zx14 and zx10's could save about 6-7 lbs. I saved 5 lbs with my battery swap.
