Can't make it this weekend since the girlfriend made plans for "us" instead! I would like to note however, that you'll have a good time with Monte's outfit and we'll make our way over to Beaver Run later on in the year. Be sure to post some photos!

I've been running with Monty and Crew for the past couple of years. My ZX-6RR is my first Kawi, but I've been wrestling around a Buell X1 on the track for the past couple of years. It's a whole different world on that RR. Are you going to make it to Grattan on June 7 & 8? I was looking for Kawasaki's on May 3 & 4 at the Grattan trackdays, but only saw one other guy who had just got the bike and had not heard of this web site. Were you there?

I'll probably make the 7 & 8 June days. We're doing Gratten on 2 June as well, albeit it's a private one. Monte set it all up for us, I believe it's going to be $110/rider. Let me know if you wanna go as payment is due in by this Friday. We had a private day on 13 May as well which was an absolute riot, 25 people showed up and it was nothing but clear track in front of me! I wasn't there on 3 & 4 May though.

Is anyone going to sportbike track time's (www.sportbiketracktime.com) trackdays at Beaver Run Motor Sports track this Sunday and Monday? The track in near Ellwood City, which is about 40 minutes north east of downtown Pittsburgh.

Strong Bad,

I checked out the photo and it looks like your carrying some pretty good speed through turn 7 there. What kind of lap times are you running at Gratten? I’m running mid 1:30’s right now, but like I said I’m just starting to get used to this true sportbike. I’m not super fast by any stretch, but I’m not a track hazard either, and only use as much track as necessary for the speeds I’m going. No running wide on turn exits, and I have smooth and predictable lines (at least that is what I've been told). The 2nd of June sounds sweet, but I won't be able to make it because things are pretty busy at work right now (robotics industry). Definitely let me know if more of those are coming up in the future. I have no idea what I've gone around on that thing with, probably 1:30 or so according to the guy you see right behind me, actually. It was a crap day too, there was water coming up through the cracks all over the place, turns 1, 5, 9 uphill after that corner too so it was a little bit of a hit or miss affair.

In fact, this guy (I can't remember his name) binned it on the water in turn one right in front of me! He said he didn't know there was water there until he came off and took a look at the line! I was taking a really wide line through there because that water was moving me sideways a few inches - which wasn't the funnest on OE tires....BUT it did put me on a line that was basically begging for a power wheelie on the exit until hitting the brake marker for turn two! Next time someone is gonna be there to get some photos of that, big stylee it was BIG STYLEEeeeeeeeee!
