Latly I have noticed my bike is occasionally dropping out of gear when I rev it hard. I have a 95 model with 56,000kms on the clock, but I have only put 6000 on it since i bought it. I'd like to know if it is just the design of the gear box which needs more work than im used to or if sumthing needs replacing. Any help is apreciated.

What do you mean, "drops out of gear"? From 1st to 2nd? Or what. Is it jumping out of gear at any gear? Here's what you can check for starters:
1. check the freeplay on the clutch cables.
2. check the springs, make sure they aren't weak or broken.
3. follow clutch lines and make sure they aren't torn or worn.

If everything is fine in the cables, then it gets really complicated as you would have to go into the tranny and check the forks and grooves. I wouldn't recommend it though. In the meantime, don't rev your engine to high, as if it jumps to a lower gear at a high rev, you might redline it.

When i say dropping out of gear it is dropping into a neutral state and no gears are engaged. And if i dont put it in a gear it will clunk into a gear with the most unhealthy sound.
