License plate is sitting in the garage. Pics were taken after mods to the back end were done and I just didn't put it back on. Snowing like hell anyway so I'm not going anywhere soon. Put it back in garage after photos hooked it up to the charger and covered it up until it gets warmer so I can work on it more.

I threw a 180 on mine once. Never again.

IMO cornering is harder because the tire rounds more because you're putting a wider tire onto the same sized rim. It also slows down acceleration.

I'm actually waiting for the day I run over a nail or something so I can replace my 180 with a 170.

Dan...comfortable enough with his manhood to ride a 600.

Greenninja...thats the original tire. Dunlop 180/55 ZR 17 Sportmax D207.

Chris...as far as posting pics I have had a hard time too. I ended up sending the pics to localbar via e-mail for him to host. Everytime I tried I couldn't get it to work. I could see them but I guess no one else could.

Hey Unreel,

Tell me how you mounted the plate and the short stalks on your cut fender.. My bike is almost the same sans decals and a few other touches.

Thanks!

I mounted the license plate bracket where the reflector used to be. Had to drill one hole and use the other from the reflector. This puts it right under the tail lights perfect. the short stalks were a bit harder. I had to drill holes and mount the lights inside the trunk. It dosen't take away and space or screw up any wiring but getting the holes lined up took alot of measuring and measuring before I drilled to get the just right. I'm a real nut for perfection as I sure many of our fellow 6R bikers are so I just took my time. It looks pretty good in person. Pics didn't turn out to bad for showing the work. I hope that helped.

Thanks, I figured that's what you did. The inside mount of the stalks should be no problem at all. Like you said, just a measuring thing. I'm going to the kawi dealer to see what types of short stalks they have on Monday and if I have to order one. Are your's III's or V's? I'm probably going with the amber for the visibility.

The lights are short stalk II...I would suggest the III...mine were a tight..tight fit under the fairing. The clear come with an amber bulb and are quite brite when flashing.
