Well my guess is that this has been asked before but sorry to say Im about to ask again. I am considering starting to ride on track with my 636. I am going to take the free sessions offered by nesba and see how that goes. but the thing that concerns me the most is the bike prep required for track days. Are there any tricks or special peices that I could buy that would make it better? And besides wireing some key bolts and changeing the coolant is there any thing else that I really need to do before I get on track? Thanks for any feed back.

Bike prep requirements vary with the track or track day organizer.

NESBA requires no bike prep for the free sessions. For their other bike prep requirements, check out this manual.

No matter what the requirements might be - do the bare minimum:

Lockwire you oil filter, oil drain plug and oil filler cap.

Filling your coolant with pure water isn't a bad idea either.

Doing this will keep you safe and also save you the embarassment of being THAT GUY who ruined it for everyone else when you blow oil or anti-freeze all over the track!
