I have a 2019 Ninja 650, where I cracked the Stator Cover pretty bad. I've replaced the Stator Cover but the bike wont turn over, even after I replaced the battery. All the lights and electricity come on when I insert the key. I can only describe it as a "whirring" noise and it wont turn over. I done as much research as I could, but I'm not mechanically savvy. I was thinking it could be the actual Stator or rectifier, but I would like more qualified individuals for guidance before I take it to a shop. Id prefer to do it myself as a teaching experience and learn more about the mechanics. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

It sounds like the Starter clutch isn't engaging the Torque Limiter or Idler Gear.
You need to pull the Cover off again and inspect for damage that might be causing the issue, I assume it went down that side ?
Picture shows what I'm referring to that needs inspecting, Maybe the damage caused a component to break or become misaligned..
