Hi Ladies,

Wanted to remind all of you that as we age our bones may begin to weaken & become fragile & they can fracture more easily. The last place you want to be is on the side line in a cast.
I found out 9 years ago after a density test showed that my bones were becoming thin & porous from both genetics & poor life style choices in my 20’s, 30’s & most of my 40”s).
I listened to my Doctor and began to eat more foods rich in calcium ,quit smoking reduced my 3 pots a day consumption of coffee, drank less alcohol & added supplements of Calcium with Vitamin D with a hope of maintaining the bone I have.
The reason I bring this up is I did a little “get off” on my bike last weekend and crack a rib. Most likely wouldn’t have if my bones were stronger, I am still riding but the rib thing it is a real nuisance to say the least.
REMEMBER The younger you start & the longer you keep it up the better.
You can’t change genetics but you can lower your risk with certain lifestyle changes.
Be safe and take care of yourselves now.
