Hi everyone
after retiring from my college days riding bikes during the early 90s ,
I'm excited to be back .
Done a 4 mths research till today on which bike is suitable for my daily ride.)
Guess I have narrow down my search to a Versys 2011

Would like to welcome feedback on my decision and helpful info on best new price and after service to buy from dealers in Penang or Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
New Bikes and Use bikes here are certainly expensive here. Decided to buy it NEW with a Budget of less than US13k.

Versus r great bikes. Very solid. Of all the models kawi sells i never see a 650 back.

Depends on what real experience you had back in your college days, but assuming that it was a reasonable amount the Versys is a good bike to return on.

Take a training course to refresh your skills.

Kawasaki 1985 Ninja 900
Kawasaki 1989 454 LTD
Honda 1985 VF500C Magna V30

Prices are the main factor as the tax impose is crazy high in Malaysia. guess in UK and States prices are more reasonable price.
Just got back from the dealer , who has offered US$12.6k/ specs no abs /assembly in thailand/waiting list is a month.
Bike fully imported from Japan would have cost close to US$17k
Would definitely take a defense driving on a motorcycle!
