Is it just me, or are the newer sportbike seats getting hotter every year? I live in central Texas where it is 95 degrees by 11 am. By 5 its about 104 with a heat index of 115. I cant take much more of this, well actually my butt cant. Im almost forced to ride when the sun goes down. Please tell me im not the only one to experience this

First off try wearing pants ! hehehe[)]
It can get as hot as hell 42C here in Melbourn Aust on the odd
day in summer and I've never had that happen.
It may be the type of pants your wearing.

i wear jeans all the time when riding, and i get the same thing. i find standing on the pegs every once in a while releases the heat.

How bout keeping a white terry cloth in you trunk, and placing over the seat when you park. (tucking the edges in)?

the seat doesnt get hot because of the sun, its because of the jean and vynil rub and sweat alot.

I am buying a sargent seat to attempt to curve the rubbing which causes the heat. I am not sure if it will work, but the seat is bound to be more comfortable...I hope.

I live in the DFW area also and have a 2000 ZX6R. Great to know another ZX6R fan. Perhaps I'll see you fly by me some time.
