well I know how to remove the actuator, and I assume that its neccessary as well. now for the butterfly removal I believe theres just a few nuts on iether side of where it sits at the bottom of the slip on?

I've seen some blocking plates on ebay, are these needed or can you just modify whatever is there to block the holes?

anything I should know(aside from it being illegal, don't much care) before I attempt this??

I have heard rumors of 2 HP gains (dynoed b4 and directly after removal) on the 06 gsxr 750 after removal, so I assume on the 10r it should look like 2-3 free hp's

I put 1000 miles on mine last year with the valve disabled and found there to be no significant gain. If anything, I found the bike lost some midrange with the valve disabled.

yup thanks I did end up finding some useful info on zx10r net... basically it not worth removing, no gains or loss anywhere on anyones dyno, but so said it did give a slight noise increase.
