I just replaced my headgasket and before that I had a problem with the carbs but it was only the carb on cylinder #1. The carb would leak gas into the head and fill it up. I checked the float and the needle and they seem fine. I can't figure out what else it could be so should I just go ahead and replace both of them?

I have had carbs that fooled me before. It kept flooding the cylinder and the needle was brand new and the float checked out fine. I also set the heighth properly and even tried lowering it with no improvement. I actually rebuilt the carbs initially to fix the flooding problem only to find it didnt go away. Then I replaced the float, needle again, and the pivot pin and it fixed the problem. I would just get a new needle and float and go ahead and get the little pivot pin. All of those parts combined should be around $10 so its not gonna hurt to try. There isnt much else to cause that problem if it is only affecting 1 cylinder.
