I would like to know the same thing. I have a 90' 600R with Vance & Hines pipe, 4 into 1 header and a K & N air filter. The carbs were set up stock except the air screws were out 3 1/2 turns instead of 2. I put a 110 main jet (stock is 105) and left the needle alone.

This how I got the bike so I do not know what brand the jets are.

It runs good except that if I turn the main idle knob high enough to idle at 1000 rpm it takes more than a second for the idle to settle down after an open throttle.

If I turn the idle down it settles down like it is supposed to but than it will not idle.

I am guessing the idle mixture is to rich or lean.

Any ideas???
