I have read on here that the 04 636 has a 520 chain, but when I was on a site lookin to buy a sprocket and chain, they had the 520 conversion.....WTH???? 520 or not??

PS...what is the difference between 520-525-530, I do alot of around town and commute the highway....and I can be kinda rough on the throttle....[}]

you have a 520, the chain brand is EK. Sites usually list 520 as a coversion most of the time because most bikes comes with 525 or 530, the last 2 numbers are the thickness, the theory is that bigger power bikes require bigger chains but because of chain tech advancement, a top of the line 520 chain now has as much strenght and then some to handle the abuse, so some of the liter bikes are doing a 520 coversion to save some weight.

you might find alot of sites showing the sprocket size wrong. Most sites say our bike runs a 39 in rear with 15 upfront, while its a 40 in the rear not a 39.
