Polished is not that hard to maintain at all.
Boy Racer and I did our bikes over the winter.
He takes his fairings off every few weeks, and just goes over it again, just some aluminum polish and a couple rags..

I don't normally take my fairings off to do it, but do from time to time.

The wheels are a little more work, but not to the point of being a pain.

I have no clue on the cost of chroming, but it adds weight, which sucks..

Is it really hard to maintain a polished bike? Does the polished look, lose it's luster (look dull) after a few months? Does anybody know how much it costs to get a bike chromed or where to get it done?
Thanks

Polish them dont chrome them. Chrome plating will come off over time, can chip, salt water, salt from the sand trucks in the winter, and even if you live close to the ocean will all eat your chrom plating away. IF you polish whatever, theres nothing to eat away.
