so the dealership gave me an aftermarket clutch lever. well the stock one has a spring mechanism with some time of sensor on it. what exactly is this peice, and is it important? the aftermarket one did not allow for it to be attached. i rode with the new lever and it seemed to work fine. just wondering if i am gonna have some type of trouble down the road possibly...

some one is probel going to correct me on this, but i was reading some where that it is like a micor switch. and activates your break lights. if i am right there is a pressure switch that you can buy that hooks in to you break lines and sences when pressure is applied and activates you break lights then.

correct me if i am wrong. just what i read some where

It's a safety so your bike won't start in gear unless the clutch is engaged, kickstand up, the kickstand has a similar micro switch hooked up to it as well.
