Clutch plate wearing down?

You atleast need to replace the "friction plates." Also the steel plates if they have turned blue. You might want to go with heavy-duty springs (springs are usually pretty cheap). Be careful if they quoted you a kit from Veshra...My dealer quoted me $162 for a complete Veshra kit, which was supposed to include all of the above items. When it came in it was friction plates only, for the same price. The dealer said it was Veshra's fault, since they list it as the kit, but it's not. Told me it would be an additional $90 for the steel plates & springs. I thought that was crazy, and didn't buy it. Let me know if you find a good deal.

It slips when running hard, so I'm gonna replace it, what piece(s) do I need to replace? The guy at the shop said its about 180, but I'm certain the whole thing doesn't need replacing.

You gota have balls like these to drive a bike!

it's vesrah not veshra...btw, your dealer sucks if he is charging you that much. who are you going through?
If the paltes are good then I just replace the the clutch plates with stock ones and put in heavy duty springs. When I did mine it cost about $100 or so but I get a really good discount.

Sorry about my spelling error. My source was a local Kawi/Yamaha dealer where I bought my bike. Guess I better look elsewhere.
