i recently removed my rear wheel.... while the wheel was removed i applied the back brake while instaling integrated tail lights.... now i need to put the wheel back on.... i noticed that my brake pads are compressed together.... i can't get the rotor between the pads.... i know this is probably an easy fix but i dont konw how to do it.... i would appreciate the help.. thanks

There is usually a little notch down the center of the pad to guage pad wear. You can stick a screw driver blade in the notch and start prying the pads apart to push the piston back in. Be careful not to gouge up the pad. Once you get the started apart you can stick a piece of wood between the pads to pry them back. Once you get some clearance you can usually push the pistons back using only finger pressure. Watch the brake resevior. If you push the pistons too far back it will overflow.

You can also pull the pads out and then push back the pistons.
