I have an 05 ZX10 and just went to drop the counter shaft sprocket by 1 tooth. What the heck kind of Nut is that and what do you use to take it off? The manual mentions nothing about a special tool.
Is there a special socket or tool to remove it?

I tried a 27mm but that didn't work. Please don't tell me to use a cresent wrench. How the hell do you use a torque wrench to put it on? At 92 Ft lb that aint going to be easy.

PS- Will be at Button Willow on Tuesday and was hoping to get this done before that.

Thanks.

Thanks 1rocket!!!! That couldn't have been a better explaination and instruction.
Boy that still does not look like a nut to me. The corners look to round.
I will give it a try tonight.......

Thanks again 1 rocket. I got it done, but I used a 27mm. Came off like butter with an impact gun.

Had the bike at the track yesterday.... love the 1 tooth down... front wheel really likes to come up now!
Had a BLAST at Buttonwillow yesterday.... track and weather were mint... OD read a 180 miles at the end of the day... SWEET!
